Myett’s not being sold | Forges partnership with Pusser’s
Myett’s restaurant in Cane Garden Bay is forming a partnership with Pusser’s in Road Town.
Part-owner of Myett’s, Val Rhymer, made the announcement in an interview with BVI News, while also dismissing claims that the establishment was being sold.
“Myett’s is not being sold,” she said when contacted recently.
Under the new partnership, Myett’s – which has been in operation for more than 20 years – will introduce a Pusser’s gift shop and a rum bar that will represent Pussers’ signature cocktail beverage, the Painkiller.
Rhymer said the Painkiller rum bar “will not only serve Painkillers but a wide selection of frozen drinks and popular tropical cocktails.”
Myett’s is also introducing a new menu, which Rhymer said will feature a combination of the best of the two well-known BVI establishments.
She said the renovations to accommodate the partnership is already underway, and during that time, the establishment will be partially closed. She noted, however, that a major sale is on at Myett’s gift shop to make space for the Pusser’s gift shop.
While not giving a specific date, she said the grand opening of Pusser’s at Myett’s will be announced soon.
In the meantime, the newly refurbished Myett’s Inn is slated to open by the end of November.

That’s a great combination. They will do really well there.
Does that mean Myett’s offerings will also be available at Pusser’s in Road Town and at West End? Or will this be just a one way partnership?
What is not your business, leave it alone
Don’t be an a&&. This is posted on a PUBLIC news site and a question was asked. Go get some sense and come again
Well, they got it right for the most part except the beach bar is and remains open with food & drinks. Except the obvious when the weather is like it is today. And, a smaller Myett’s gift shop will be moved to the original location on the property to give space to Pussers Company Store. So, there will be two gift shops. There is a big sale going on to make room. We will be announcing the grand opening of the new restaurant very soon. We look forward to welcoming our customers.
Please don’t change your chef or your menu, Myett’s. You are so much better than Pussers. When Pussers took over the Fat Hog Bob’s, we watched it die very slowly.
I hope that Pussers dont get a raw deal here, there is a history of this place not sticking to deals. Pussers need to take over the whole operation.
There goes the neighborhood
I thought those Cane Garden Bay Boys said they only want Sandman businesses only in Cane Garden Bay. Sneaky business. lol
@Landlord, several years ago, a Canadian lady had built a bar on the beach next to the other bars. Interestingly it was burned to the ground and she never bothered to rebuild it. I think she skipped town. Lol
That was the late Jill Morrison and it was some forty years ago, before CGB was developed.
THE INVADERS ARE COMING
sad…..Pussers high prices and poor service
Well Val are you good at masking stuff and making it appear as that myetts still has all the controlling power in this organization?..Has Pussers bought you out plain & simple? They know other businesses in cane garden bay would not stand for any foreign business getting in on the beach …at the end of the day and no matter had sad it may sound MONEY buys everything.
Good news. Myetts needs a face lift plus Pussers has the best wings on island. Should be a good combo.
I wish the venture well Myetts is one of my fav places to visit
C—-y must be turning over in her grave!
To imagine, a business built by a local family of that area, being slowly owned by outside interests. That business original ———- was shunned and banned by that same white woman and was forced to seek employment elsewhere.
To know that business was named in the memory of a man on whose estate that business was built and whose sole child was e——– in all of that business’s glory, fame and wealth. And when that child was made aware of the true history behind the name, all manner of d—– t——- were levied against that child by many Europeans.
It will be quite interesting to see how much shares the local shareholders will now continue to receive.
It was always the wishes of the families in that area that the businesses of that area be controlled by the people of that area.
How sad it would be if that family was to lose the rights to that property.
Truly it would be a detriment to CGBay if the perceived and newer nomenclature, Myettussers, rang true!
I was saying the new name wold be PusMyetts or something like that.
