One reported injured in Friday night shooting

Road Town Police Station.

At least one person is nursing injuries following a shooting incident on Tortola late Friday night, March 22.

The gunshot victim, whose identity has not been officially confirmed, is being treated at the Dr D Orlando Smith Hospital.

In the meantime, circumstances surrounding the shooting is still unclear but police said the incident happened on Station Avenue near the Multipurpose Sports Complex in Road Town. Investigations into the shooting are still ongoing.

The police have not indicated whether they’ve made any headway in identifying the suspects. There have been a series of shootings and violent criminal incidents plaguing the territory over the last several months.

Just recently, attorney Jamal Smith was killed in one of those incidents. His death is being treated as a homicide.

    Them need to start on them punk police so close to the police station they should had run in the station one time . But they only want to shot man who don’t have guns. I know dis guy tell the police who shot him but not going to d0 anything
