Pedestrian injured after being hit by bike

A woman was taken to hospital yesterday after sustaining injuries during a traffic accident in Road Town.

The woman was hit by a motorcycle traveling on Waterfront Drive.

Eyewitnesses said the woman was crossing the road when the motorcycle rider overtook a vehicle that had stopped to allow the woman to pass.

The woman was knocked down and was brought to Peebles Hospital in an ambulance. The extent of her injuries is not known.

It is also not clear if the bike rider in question was charged.
