PHOTOS: Artistes thrill patrons inside festival village Saturday
Patrons inside the festival village on Saturday night were given a grand treat as both old and new-generation artistes pelted hit after hit into the wee hours of the morning.
The show kicked off around 10:30pm with the local Showtime Band, which preceded acts such as Tripple K, Sanchez, and Rock City — all of whom had hundreds of fans captivated with their music for hours.
Hailing from Dominica, the high-energy band called Tripple K had patrons moving to hits such as ‘Allo Ki Jen Aw’ and ‘Watch Your Foot In De Corner’.
They ended their set several minutes after midnight with their signature baby powder bath. A powder bath effectively happens when the band provides bottles of powder to spew in the crowd.
The legendary Jamaican Kevin Anthony Jackson, better known as Sanchez, came in next with the sultry sounds of Rhythm & Blues, and gospel music.
He had fans rocking to tunes such as Never Dis Di Man, Missing You, Everyone Falls In Love Sometimes, as well as gospel hits such as I Must Tell Jesus.
Coming on stage last was the duo out of US Virgin Islands — Rock City. The duo had patrons singing to their mega hits such as Losing It, Fete You, Makeup, and Locked Away.
They brought the proverbial curtains down at approximately 3:20am on Sunday. Below are scenes BVI News captured at the event:
