PHOTOS: Kes ignites festival village

Several patrons turned out in Road Town on Saturday night as Trinidadian soca powerhouse Kes the Band headlined one of the most electric nights of the BVI Emancipation Festival so far.

The crowd roared as Kes delivered hit after hit, transforming the festival village into a wave of hands and enjoyment. His signature energy was matched by the crowd’s vibe — Caribbean unity on full display.

Local performers brought their own fire, with homegrown bands and DJs warming up the stage and keeping the rhythm alive long after Kes exited. The night pulsed with celebration, soundtracked by soca, dancehall, and pure island energy. BVI News photographer Andre “Shadow” was there to capture the highlights.
