Just under a dozen restaurants participated in this year’s Anegada Lobster Fest, serving up dishes to delight food-lovers who flocked the sister island over the weekend.

The event ran from November 28-30 and, as the BVI Tourist Board describes it, “this one of a kind experience has continued to grow and has become an internationally acclaimed culinary event.”

The participating restaurants and their samplers for this year’s event were:

  • Anegada Beach Club – Spicy Fried Lobster Mac & Cheese, Drunken Lobster Kebab
  • Anegada Reef Hotel – Lobster Wonton with Garlic Sauce
  • Big Bamboo – Lobster Fritter
  • Lil Bit – Jerk Lobster
  • The Lobster Trap – Dynamite Lobster, Lobster Cake with Sriracha Mayo
  • Pink Flamingo – Jerk Lobster Sandwich
  • Potter’s By the Sea – Curried Lobster
  • Sid’s Pomato Point – 3 Cheese Lobster Mac & Cheese bites
  • Tipsy – Lobster Mac & Cheese, Lobster Fritter

In addition to the usual festivities, this year’s event also featured a beach-side fashion show. All in all, the food was exceptional, the atmosphere was vibrant, and it was an all-around good time for patrons; marking yet another successful staging of the culinary event.

Funny it wasn’t near a dozen there were only 9 places taking part from 13 last year because it is only advertised locally for 1 day not a weekend.

This was a poor turnout and a terrible organised event, adding things doesn’t make it better, it only takes away from what it was supposed to be , an Anegada event…
