Police recapture escapee Kurt Rabsatt
The police have recaptured the 36-year-old fugitive, Kurt Rabsatt who had escaped custody roughly a month ago.
In a brief press statement moments ago, the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) said officers of its Armed Response Unit recaptured Rabsatt late yesterday in the East End area.
Law enforcers did not go into detail how he was recaptured.
The RVIPF had sought the public’s assistance to locate Rabsatt in December of last year after the Long Look resident fled from a police vehicle as he was being escorted into the East End Police Station.
“Rabsatt is suspected in a number of burglaries. In addition to other possible offences, Rabsatt will be charged for escaping lawful custody,” the RVIPF stated today.
