Public Works Department conducting CGB road repairs
The Ministry of Communications and Works has initiated a project to repair a compromised section of the road in Cane Garden Bay.
Director of the Public Works Department, Jeremy Hodge, highlighted the focus of the project, which includes civil works along the road and coastal defence measures to rectify a 175-foot section that has seen significant wear.
“Our primary goal is to conduct civil works along the road and coastal defence, specifically rectifying a 175-foot section that has been compromised,” Hodge stated.
Hodge said the project has already commenced and noted that efforts have been made to plan the works carefully to minimise disruptions to traffic flow in Cane Garden Bay.
Completion of the repair works is anticipated by Monday, April 8 and the Director called on the public to exercise caution and adhere to all signage erected to facilitate safe passage during the repair period.
