Recovery claims deadline announced
The government has announced that August 25 is the deadline for persons affected by the recent flooding and landslides to file claims in order to get assistance through the Department of Disaster Management (DDM).
It noted that small business owners without insurance can also apply for help.
“Please note that only limited support will be provided to support immediate recovery efforts,” the DDM said.
It further explained, “Claims must be filed at the Department of Disaster Management on or before 4:30pm on Friday, August 25, 2017. To file the claim, you will have to visit the Department of Disaster Management located at #3 Wailing Road, MacNamara, Road Town, Tortola.”
