Reggae stars attract hundreds despite muddy festiville
Notwithstanding the inclement weather still evident in mounds of mud and pools of water across Tortola, hundreds turned out at the Prime Time Festiville in Road Town on Friday, August 2.
Headlining International Reggae Night were Jamaican stars Romain Virgo and Taurus Riley.
They shared the stage with acts such as Sistah Joyce, IMO and Revelation, among others.
The event, which is part of the ongoing emancipation festivities, ended in the wee hours of Saturday morning with a performance from local band, VIBE.
The Jamaican headliners kept patrons captivated throughout their respective performances.
Romain Virgo fired up the stage with hits such as Mi Can’t Sleep, Who Feels It Knows It, Love Doctor, and Taking You Home.
Following his performance, Taurus Riley took to the stage and also pelted major hits to a receptive crowd. He sang songs such as Simple Blessings, Superman, My Day, and Karma.
The festivities continue Saturday with International Soca Night.
