Residents flock ATMS

Customers line up outside Scotiabank in Road Town to use ATM.

Automatic teller machines (ATMs) have now joined supermarkets and gas stations as one of the most sought-after services in the British Virgin Islands.

Persons have been flocking ATMs in light of the cash-only policy implemented by the few businesses that have reopened.

This is after two Category 5 hurricanes ransacked the territory this month.

When traversing Road Town on Tortola, customers are seen waiting in long queues to use ATMs outside institutions such as Scotiabank, Banco Popular, National Bank of the Virgin Islands, and FirstCaribbean International.
