Rider escapes as scooter wedges under pickup

A scooter rider escaped with seeming non-fatal injuries following a frightening vehicular accident in the Meyers Estate area of Tortola on Monday (January 8).

The biker’s scooter was pinned under a pickup truck during the incident.

Photos sent to our news centre after the accident showed the conscious rider sprawled across the roadway while being assisted by residents.

There were no visible injuries, however, his condition has not been confirmed.

It is not clear how the accident unfolded.

      Ban car one time boats too we could all walk and swim to places we need to go so there can be no deaths since scooter the only thing that da kill people

    Its not the bikes that are the problem, its the carelessness by these youths that causing the problem. When you feel you superman and feel you can pyass in the road, weeve in and out of traffic, over take, wear no helmet etc, its not the bike its the driver. It have responsible youths and men out there riding how they posed to be but no one sees that. The youth is my pana but I aint going support the stupidness they going on with on dem bikes. Like I said blame the drivers not the bikes.
