RVIPF: Video footage, witness statements key to murder probe
The following is a media release from the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force.
Detectives of the Major Incident Team continue to review CCTV footage and interview witnesses as investigations in the shooting death of Jaimez Stoutt moves forward.
Stoutt was fatally wounded while in Crystal’s Nightclub in Free Bottom early Saturday morning. Lead investigator Detective Inspector Jumo Shortte says while no one has yet been charged, several lines of inquiry are actively being followed at this time, therefore information to the public must be limited.
“We have committed a number of our detectives to making sure that the evidence is solid against the individual or individuals responsible for Jaimez Stoutt death and to ensure that justice is served. Therefore, information released to the public must be restricted at the moment,” Shortte noted.
Detectives are still asking those who witnessed the events at the nightclub last Saturday morning or have information helpful in this investigation to share this information by contacting the Major Crime Team directly at 368-5682.

If you need results to get this evil person off the streets there must be an investigation that calls for witness evidence and it can’t be aired to the public until the person or persons are arrested and charged with the crime.

When I watch and read the news about this young man death it said before his death he was seen arguing with a male so I think the police detective should go after that person
