Rymer launches ‘full assessment’ into Works ministry as he takes over post
A full assessment is underway for the
VIP legislator and Fifth District Representative Kye Rymer launched an evaluation into the ministry following his recent appointment as the new minister responsible for the portfolio.
“The intent is to know exactly where we stand and to properly navigate our way forward. That would include the water issues, the sewerage issues and so forth,” Rymer said.
Water and sewerage issues have been longstanding in the territory for several years. Sewerage problems appear to be most prevalent in the Seventh and Eighth districts while water woes have been consistently prevalent in the Third Electoral District.
Rymer, the former head of the Department of Motor Vehicles which falls under the ministry he now runs, reported on the assessment while making his first address inside the House of Assembly on Tuesday.

Minister Rymer please help us to get a proper road soon again along the Magistrate’s Court. It’s been years since we’ve had a proper road there. Thank you.

I AGREE WITH YOU THEY SHOULD MAKE HIM PAY BACK EVERY CENT HE CAUSE THE GOVERNMENT. THE NDP MEAN TO BLEED EVERY CENT FROM THE TREASURY. MR VANTERPOOL PLEASE GET OUT GO RUN YOUR BUSINESS LET THIS PLACE MOVE FORWARD YOU ARE A DISGRACE.
Sewerage in the sixth…stinks.
I hope the investigation includes taxi licenses issued to drivers under 25.
first of all water and sewage department needs an engineer.
The engineers there are waste
The department has a history of corrupt employees and a culture that hates change. Anyone who tries to change it gets shafted. there were several engineers in there but nothing. Why? The support structures are weak. GP was an engineer and all kinds of things those 2 engineers in there did and 1 even had him bawling. Kerof another engineer did not have a chance they brag how they got rid of him and even JW they sign patition on. It is time to seriously look at the support structures.
Is P— an engineer or just someone the NDP pays a lot of money to do nothing? Isn’t he the same guy that took people’s money and tried to sell them government owned vehicles? Why is he on contact with the PWD? Doesn’t that department have enough men to work? Why is he collecting thousands of dollars a month to do while full time workers can’t even get a raise? This and other issues needs to be looked. This ministry dished out lots of money which clearly can’t be accounted for so therefor someone getting kick backs. Clean up this ministry so we can start saving money and get quality work around here. Goes for all departments under this ministry
thing to tell. Facilities Management got some licks too. The books tell it all and audit coming soon
Smart and practical action by the MCW. The government as a whole, along with each ministry, should as a minimum conduct a situational anaysis; strength, weakness, opportunity and threat (SWOT) analysis……..etc. Cannot manage effectively if you do not know what facilities you own and what condition it is in, what policies, programmes…….etc are in place, what other resources (finance, personnel, equipment) you have, what problems, if any, the ministry has, what is the morale in the ministry, what is staff opinion on the way forward, interpersonal relationship with other ministries, intrapersonal relationship among departments …..etc.
Clean up PWD
Roger that, 10-4. Change does horrible looking uniforms. A light blue color would look better. Personnel also need to head protection, eye protection, hearing protection, steel toe shoes…..etc.
Clean it from the head come down to the cleaners too many people being paid for doing NOTHING especially the friends of the director himself!!!!!!!!
