Rymer likens Premier to Moses in the Bible
Communication and Works Minister Kye Rymer recently compared Premier Dr. Natalio Wheatley to the biblical character Moses, while branding the Opposition Leader as modern-day “Korah,” the biblical figure who rebelled against Moses during the Exodus.
Speaking after Myron Walwyn’s failed motion of no confidence, Rymer said he believed the motion wasn’t meant to expose the government but to show the Opposition Leader where those on his side stood.
Rymer also said Walwyn’s plan backfired spectacularly.
“Clearly it blew up in his face and it’s unfortunate that we are speaking to these empty chairs,” he added, referring to opposition members who walked out mid-session. “Talk about hypocrisy — I think that’s the height of hypocrisy right there. You’re speaking one thing and doing something different.”
He then turned from his sharp critique to deliver the biblical comparison, framing Dr Wheatley as a leader under siege from disloyal followers.
“When you think about Moses, who endured 40 years in the wilderness leading his people, and then you think about the people behind him — like this character Korah in the Bible — Korah wanted to throw out the leader. We got a leader of the Opposition, we don’t even know how he got there,” Rymer said as members of the government laughed loudly.
The minister did not shy away from taking aim at the Opposition leader’s rhetoric. He described Walwyn as being “waxed in eloquence” but lacking integrity, and accused them of prioritising politics over people.
Rymer, who has previously hinted at frustrations he faces with getting money from the Premier and Minister of Finance to carry out pertinent road repairs across the territory, also told the House of Assembly that the BVI is experiencing troubling times that require the kind of leadership he sees from Premier Wheatley.
“We are in some terrible times in the Virgin Islands. We need genuine leadership and I see it right here on my side,” Rymer said.

Hello! Have reverence and respect when you talk about our dear Premier. He must be properly address when you speak of him. Premier Wheatley is indeed our Moses as a matter of fact, he is our Jesus. If you don’t want to refer to him as such, you must address him as one of the following as examples:-
Honourable
Sir
Premier
Lord
Excellency
And so on. Don’t let it happen again!
Needs his medication asps…What that under him nose…!

Kye and Natalio beleive this ting is a joke. You all were part of the problem that brought the COI here and its ramifications on the people while the UK allow you all greedy bill to stay in place.
Meanwhile people are hurting. No petty contracts no money going through the economy but certain persons pocket full.
It IS a joke. A sad one. Do you see any accountability ANYWHERE?!

The BVI is not a good place anymore. The Words that come from the lunatics Mouth only get more and more frustrated. Always calling on the bible. You guys ought to stop mocking GOD. Refer y’all selves to your GOD from Senegal, Jamaica, Venezuela or where ever.
Party time!! We don’t need schools!!!!
Pair of fools.
Is this the best you can produce?
Is this group elected by you the best representation of political knowledge, leadership, morals and intelligence you can elect?
The people have been astounded for the years by what has come out of the minds, mouth and production evidence of that group.
We must do better next time,, for God sake.
Ryder should have more reverence for the great ones in human history. Do not compare anyone to Moses just to make a political point. What discipline, faith, integrity, humility Moses had should not be compared to anyone. Moses name has been remembered thru human history for a reason, be humble and stop ego glazing. All of the VIP govt needs to stop with the Bible twang as their political strategy. GOD will not be a prop or made a mockery by beings lesser than him who can’t figure out today much less plan for tomorrow.
BVI became victim of a religious spirit that has led us to hell. In the words of Albert Bryan we need to change course now. Stop pedaling the Bible for profit.
That is some serious brown nosing. Natalio should be ready for the silver dagger in the back from the same person because that much waxing in the face definitely means dirty deeds behind the back. He is aiming for his spot next Election.
He’s right except this Moses is leading us into the wilderness and not out of it.
…
when this one say UK let me my people go he means all elite friends and family who’se benefiting from schemes
The BVI gone to the grave yard, OH MOSES where are you??
Ducklyn Kye need to quit.
All you wicked in comments. How can our country be better?
SHUT UP !!!!!!! You all want to be doing wrong every day and all must keep quiet?… NOOOOOOO!!!!
We know Kye is not the sharpest tool in the tool box so let’s forgive.
Jesus wept.
KYEE,IS SAYING )>,BOI AH GAH GAE U , FOR THE WAY U PART UP THE OPPOSITION , JUST LIKE HOW ” MOSES” PARTED THE SEA ) ( MASTER WEATIE )> YEAH , NEXT TIME DON’T FORGET TO ADD THE “HOLY” .
MOSES WAS GOD SENT…. Natilio was accidentally selected. There is a very huge difference and he is no Moses.
The very sad part about it all is come election time the majority may very well vote this Government back in. They have shown that they are not interested in making our country better because I will not accept that they cannot do better than they are. They are choosing to do what they are doing. Choosing to spend money on things that are not assisting the majority while basic, basic everyday needs of the entire populous is in tatters. They are not focused on doing their jobs. They love to party and travel and the time that they find to stand or sit in front of cameras for FaceBook is mind boggling.
We have to vote for persons who have management skills and can manage and spend half a million dollars so that the entire population benefits. We are immature as a population as the Government we have is a true reflection of who we are. Voting for personal gains rather than the gains of the country where we all benefit is toxic and wrong. I pray next election we will think before we vote.
The devil is a liar!!! Better stop telling lies on Moses from the Bible by comparing him to this [unintelligible]. These are the people you all keep voting for??? What happen, somebody just get a payout or something? Money make people do and say all sort of stupid things. That’s the only possible, sensible explanation here. This can’t be something someone who voluntarily say for no reason. This island is so lost.
Only thing he parting is the treasury for more flights and partys lol
If it’s one thing, these BVI politicians going always bring bible talk into politricks to fool the so call “christian community”
