Rymer shies away from giving opinion on Music Fest

Premier Dr Natalio Wheatley (right) and Works Minister Kye Rymer.

Minister of Communications and Works, Kye Rymer, refused to give his frank opinion on the recently concluded Music Fest when asked about the controversial event on the “Talking Points” radio show earlier this week.

Rymer acknowledged that he had an opinion on the festival, an event that did not receive much public support, reportedly due to a boycott and high ticket prices. However, when he spoke on the matter, his stance remained unclear.

“In terms of the Music Fest, the Premier spoke about it during his budget cycle — he put the funding aside … He moved forward with his — the Music Fest…” Rymer said, seemingly choosing his words carefully.

“But did you have a position on it?” host Elvin Grant asked.

Rymer responded, “I actually attended and tried to support the Music Fest…in terms of what transpired there. I know some business persons talked about the economic activities — some spoke against it, but it’s gone, and you have to learn from it.”

Before the event, Premier Dr Natalio Wheatley had promised to have the Central Statistics Office (CSO) measure the economic impact of the event and to make the costs public. However, there is still no word on the costs associated with the event, even though it concluded over three weeks ago.

Kye Rymer isn’t a leader. Perfect example here. He knows the music fest was a disaster but yet not to offend the Premier he prefers not to be untruthful and open with the people who elected him. Things like this along with his poor performance on infrastructure and unfinished projects makes him one of the worse ministers we have had.

As long as he don’t drop on his knees with his hands held high in the air like a certain person that is sitting in a Miami jail getting ready to be sentenced to Federal Prison. We don’t need any more curse falling on the Island.

Mannn….this is the kind of dude we need to keep from because he does not have a voice of his own; whether for alleviation, justice or for reasoning. A stereotypically weak individual is he.

He must keep up with church this is his political power base. Do you understand that the Methodist Church in particular has been the driving force behind the VIP and consequently BVI politics. Check every Chief Minister\Premier except Dr. Smith. Check the vast majority of elected officials all Methodists. These are the brainwashed sleepers that have gotten us to this sad state of affairs. Any progressive thinking person that came along was gotten rid of….time has caught up on you….Rasta Prophets are true.

Look at the picture they are laughing at the people of the BVI because they know the only thing to stop them is a UK take over and by now they know that’s not going to happen. The COI was about accountability but that turn out to be a joke because they do what they want because they know they don’t have to be accountable to anyone.
