Simon wins Benz

The sight of Carlton Simon in his new Mercedes Benz was a delightful end to the HIV/AIDS Foundation’s grand Mercedes Benz raffle.
To generate more community participation, the Foundation lowered the price of its raffle tickets this year to give more persons a chance to win. This effort resulted in many members of the community supporting the worthy cause.
On Saturday May 20, when the sales finally closed and the selection process was done, it was Simon’s ticket (#1214) that was the winning pick.
Treasurer of the Foundation Arletta Bickerton was called to announce the good news.
An elated Simon, who was not at the location when the draw was made, responded: “I’m on my way!”
In less than five minutes, a smiling Simon arrived at the Multipurpose Sports Complex to claim his prize.
Taking possession of his new vehicle keys, all eyes were on Simon as he comfortably settled into the seat of the luxury SUV – bringing the fundraiser to an exciting close.
