Skelton appointed deputy director of tourism

Rhodni Skelton has been appointed Deputy Director of the BVI Tourist Board.

The Board, in a media release today, said the appointment took effect May 8.

Skelton served as Film Commissioner and Events Marketing Manager at the Tourist Board from 2004 to 2015.

Director of Tourism Sharon Flax-Brutus said she is pleased to have the position of Deputy Director filled, adding that she looks forward to Skelton making a strong contribution.

She noted his background and experience.

Skelton holds an Associate’s Degree in Business Management, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from Northwood University.

He also has a Master of Business Administration Degree in Human Resource Management and Finance from Wright State University.

Furthermore, Skelton holds a Master of Science Degree in Tourism and Project Management from the University of the West Indies.

He will now assist the Director of Tourism with a series of regional and international tourism marketing initiatives, as well as overseeing general operations.
