SSB launches ‘Secure Your Tomorrow’ campaign
The Virgin Islands Social Security Board is preparing to launch its “Secure Your Tomorrow” Campaign.
The extensive PR awareness campaign signals the start of a series of initiatives aimed at increasing registration, enhancing contribution collections, and improving the overall administration of the Social Security Board and NHI.
The Awareness Campaign entitled after the organization’s slogan, was created to significantly increase public awareness efforts in the territory, especially amongst youth, the self-employed and members of the informal economy.
The campaign was made possible through the support of the International Labor Organisation under the Joint Sustainable Development Goal Fund Program. Considering the increasing number of transient workers in the Virgin Islands, Director of the Social Security Board, Mrs Jeanette Scatliffe Boynes emphasised the timeliness of the campaign.
She said: “as the Board focuses on the self-employed and the informal sector of workers, it is imperative that they are persistently persuaded and informed about their rights and obligations. The Social Security Board offers full benefits to those sectors, and we are adamant that they be brought on board”.
The Deputy Director with responsibility to NHI, Mr. Roy Barry added: “We expect to gain a greater understanding of the concerns of our beneficiaries. Through customer attitudes and contributions, we have noted patterns that will have correlating effects on the system and people of the Virgin Islands. The qualitative nature of this campaign will allow us to maintain and structurally amend the system for the developing needs of our society”.
‘Secure Your Tomorrow’ will feature a series of community outreach activities on the islands of Virgin Gorda, Anegada and Jost Van Dyke, door-to-door customer relations, SSB/NHI pop-ups, enhancement workshops, and territory-wide “townhall-style” meetings/presentations.
For more information about the ‘Secure Your Tomorrow’ campaign, including events and presentations, beneficiaries are encouraged to monitor the organisations’ website and social media accounts or call the Public Relations Department on 852-7896.

How’s about the SSB securing our future by it granting ie giving free money to government for stupid projects. The Board is not independent of government and is wasting our money. S!0w W@nde and the A$$ C!0wn Brigade will pressure the Board as past administrations. Bad decisions need to follow with prison time.
What about a Campaign to tell us how we are going to get our 40 Mil back from the Thieves??
