The special guest at Summer Sizzle BVI fashion show this year will be American R&B artiste and actress Jessica Jarrell.

Jarrell, who has opened for some of the world’s biggest stars including Justin Bieber and Cody Simpson, will give what Summer Sizzle described as an exclusive performance at the ninth staging of the event.

The artiste’s newest hit single is How Was I.

Summer Sizzle organizers, in the meantime, said the event will go green this year by using green items.

“This year, Unite BVI has partnered with Summer Sizzle BVI to bring awareness to ocean conservation, recycling in the BVI, and business as a force for good.”

“Summer Sizzle BVI is committed to help preserve our environment by ‘going green’, and offering Unite BVI a stage to inspire community involvement with projects that support initiatives within the umbrellas of entrepreneurship, community, and the environment. Green Tech has partnered with Summer Sizzle BVI to provide green products for the event,” added the event promoters.

Summer Sizzle is known for pulling fashion lovers, travel enthusiasts, designers, models, press, and celebrities from around the world.

It will start on July 20 with a Welcome Dinner Party at Myett’s in Cane Garden Bay, and end on July 23 with a sailing excursion and beach barbecue on Virgin Gorda.

On July 21, the Multi-Purpose Sports Complex will come alive with the launch of the BVI SWIM, which will see designers presenting their swimwear and resort collections, followed by a private poolside party.

The designers presenting will include Haus of Pink Lemonaid in Los Angeles, Nikini Resortwear, Aqua Couture by Roger Gary, Andrew Nowell from New York, Shernicia Mayers from St Vincent, BVI designers The Islander by Andrea Wilson, as well as Duo Collection by Nadia Winter and Natalya Thomas.

On the following day, July 22, the Multi-Purpose Complex will host the highly anticipated Global Glamour Runway Show, followed by a reception.

The designer line up for that runway show include Anthony Franco, LA celebrity designer TAAKK, Kics Document and Arch Bes from Japan, Miriam Budet and Eddie Guerrera from Puerto Rico, Akeem Stanley from the BVI, Irredescent Fashion from St Kitts, and Cole Facts by Michelle Cole from Guyana and New York.

Other designers include Yumi Katsura, Cesar Galindo, and Andrew Nowell from New York City.

Summer Sizzle added that children will rock the runway in fashion by D’Obvious Rose, a talented nine year old designer Saphhire Autumn Rose, and a leading BVI children’s store MINI ME.
