Survey to learn needs of sister islands extended to month-end
The survey that was started to study the needs of the sister islands has been extended till the end of March so residents of Jost Van Dyke, Anegada, and Virgin Gorda have more time to participate.
The survey specifically allows sister island residents to share their feedback regarding services available to the public on these islands.
Deputy Governor, David Archer, Jr — who has portfolio responsibility for the public service — noted his vision to introduce the first one-stop payment portal on Virgin Gorda once all the legislation to support e-governance and digital transformation are approved by the House of Assembly and assented. He said, “feedback on the survey will help to greater impact that vision”.
“We want to have a better understanding of the needs of the residents on the Sister Islands and the services they desire. The survey is designed to provide us with the baseline information required for us to better plan for new and improved offerings,” the Deputy Governor said.
In the meantime, Sister Islands Programme Coordinator, Sasha Flax said some residents have already shared “valuable information that would assist in prioritising the services most needed by residents on the sister islands”.
Residents can participate by accessing the anonymous survey at www.surveymonkey.com/r/L5TYKJ2, or by filling out a physical survey document at the Sister Island District Office.
