Teen charged in Virgin Gorda stabbing incident

A 17-year-old male from Virgin Gorda has been charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm following a stabbing incident over the weekend.

According to a press release from the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF), the stabbing occurred around 7 p.m. on Saturday, March 15, during an escalated verbal dispute. The victim received medical attention, and the injuries sustained are not life-threatening.

The RVIPF reaffirmed its commitment to thoroughly investigating all incidents and ensuring public safety. Authorities are also urging the community to report any relevant details regarding this or other matters.

“Anyone with information regarding this or any other matter is encouraged to report it confidentially by contacting the RVIPF Intelligence Unit at 368-9339, the Virgin Gorda Police Station at 368-5690, or anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 800-8477, or from overseas at (284) 800-8477,” the press release stated.
