This year’s Summer Sizzle postponed
This year’s staging of the more-than-a-decade-old local fashion event Summer Sizzle BVI has been postponed until further notice.
Organisers of the event said Summer Sizzle is being put off in the interest of keeping residents, guests and patrons safe.
“Our decision comes after very close monitoring of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, and advice from our partners in the British Virgin Islands,” a flyer announcing the postponement said.
“We look forward to welcoming you back to our shores once for Summer Sizzle BVI once the final dates are determined,” it added.
The fashion event, which usually spans three to four days, is known to pull a line-up of designers and models based locally, regionally and internationally.
Over the years it has also attracted stars such as American R&B artiste Jessica Jarrell, world-renowned photographer and former judge of America’s Next Top Model Nigel Barker, among others.
