Three new positive COVID-19 cases have been recorded in the British Virgin Islands while three patients have also recovered from the virus.

This is according to the latest statistics issued by the Minister for Health Carvin Malone in his live COVID-19 update on Wednesday, September 16.

During the minister’s speech which lasted approximately 17 minutes, he did not explicitly state that the territory had recorded new positive cases.

He only said: “The total number of COVID-19 cases reported in the territory now stands at 69. Sixty-four were on Tortola and five on the island of Anegada,” the minister stated.

During the minister’s previous update on September 11, he reported that the total number of cases at the time was 66.

  1. Thank You says:

Thank you, BVI News. I wondered why the Honourable Minister was being evasive, and why mention was made of the overcrowded commercial building; and then I wondered if they were linked.

Why are the seventy odd people being quarantined, and why will they be re-tested in fourteen days?

The broadcast was a bit cloudy and lacked the usual transparency. Certainly appreciate your clarification.

Does “charter boats” refer to the water taxis that take outgoing folks to the USVI, or does it mean charteboats, as in bareboats and crewed charter boats? If it’s the later, surely that huge part of the economy merits more than a half a sentence? I ask, because nothing has been said to the charter industry, so far.

  4. Citizens says:

arriving from highly active infections countries should be automatically quarantined or at least produce documentation of recent testing.

There are still to many Santo Domingo, American and other citizens getting into the country even with closed borders. They are every where daily.

There is a cure for the Corona Virus. We keep on calling this Plandemic, Covid – 19. Let’s call it by the proper name, Corona. The Covid- 19, is actually an vaccine Identification chip establish in 2019.
Do your research. The statements of countless doctors are speaking the truth about the virus and what Covid- 19 is all about. The different websites are pulling down the information as soon as it is release.
We don’t realize that are human rights are being taken away. We have been so long being brainwashed about this plandemic. That individuals are scared and depressed and suicidal. In the states for instance. The doctors are coming out and say that suicides are far beyond the death of corona virus deaths and cases.
The CDC has sent out an ABC requirements( please check the CDC website of the meaning) and you will see. It will be implemented here eventually. It will be a matter of time. Look at what our Leaders are doing. Instead of allowing the God almighty to intervene and direct us and protect us from the Plandemic.
My people please do not be afraid of the so call virus and the tainted test kits.
