Top teams draw in heated match-up
The thrilling match-up between the top-two National League teams ended with a draw at the Virgin Gorda Recreational Grounds on Sunday, April 15.
The Sugar Boys and One Love match ended 3-3.
Mohammed Kachour of the Sugar Boys scored the first goal in the 10th minute. But, Carl Stewart then equalized for One Love 24 minutes later.
Stewart’s teammate, Okeyne Thenstead then scored another for One Love in the 52nd – making the score 2-1.
Derol Redhead responded by making the score 2-2 in the 65th minute. Michael Castello then retook the lead for the Sugar Boys by netting a goal in the 68th minute; making it 3-2.
But, Richard Morgan of One Love equalized minutes before the final whistle blew.
The two teams might have drawn during Sunday’s match but the Sugar Boys still top the National League table with 16 points. One Love is hot on their tails at second place with on 13 points.
Surprise of the season
Back on the AO Shirley Grounds on Tortola, Panthers FC pulled off what is being described as ‘the surprise of the season’.
They copped a one-nil win over the Islanders.
However, the Islanders still share the fourth spot on the league table with Wolues FC, while the Panthers are trailing in seventh place.

The Bvi fa must realize this by now if you want the game to move forward and ppl to get involve in the game continue do what your doing now The game in VG have best support i ever see in my country do not be fool by the size or name tortola or Virgin Gorda do the right thing and you will get where you want us to go
