Total $875K gov’t contracts awarded for school furniture, equipment

Three contracts with a combined total of more than $850,000 have been awarded to a local and regional company to supply equipment and furniture to schools in the BVI.

Massy Technologies Info Com (Antigua) Ltd and Island Services Ltd received the contracts after Cabinet reviewed and accepted a Central Tender Board-approved evaluation report that recommended the companies.

According to the document outlining Cabinet’s decisions from a special sitting on May 7 and 8, Massy Technologies was issued a $257,450 contract to supply office equipment to schools.

Meanwhile, local company Island Services received two contracts.

The first is valued at $418,378.98 and is for the company to supply furniture from eligible member countries of the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) to various schools. The second valued at $199,946.14 is to supply furniture from non-eligible member countries of the CDB.

The total value of all three contract is $875,775.12.

    hope you all count chairs for the expats kids who coming in September. long ago a teacher never used teach more than 18 kids the most now one teacher have 28 kids.. this is reason why there’s so many low grades…
