Tourist Board rebrands BVI Staycation programme
The state-owned Tourist Board has rebranded its annual BVI Staycation programme currently running from 15 June to 30 November.
BVI Staycation is an incentive programme that invites persons residing in the territory and select neighbouring destinations (USVI, Puerto Rico and St Maarten/St Martin) to vacation locally.
The Tourist Board recently unveiled its rebranding of the programmes logo and campaign; stating that new branding focuses on all the features and experiences of having an unforgettable vacation in the territory.
“The new design highlights all the elements that make people fall in the love with the BVI. Nature, the greenery, flora and fauna, the beautiful blue seas, our rich history, and of course, our destination. There is no need to travel abroad because we have everything right here”, said Tourism Director, Clive McCoy.
In the meantime, a media release from the Tourist Board this week said beneficiaries of the programme can choose from a selection of special offers on accommodations, spa treatments, dining, tours, yacht charters and a variety of land and sea activities available under the campaign.

An article saying that something has happened… without including real information on what has happened (what is new design? where is link to details? where is even the link to the press release?)… is not really much help.
We can do better than this.
“Nature, the greenery, flora and fauna” Thats all the pretty colours of the pools of sewage before it makes it’s way to beautiful blue seas.
Hahahahahhahahahhahahha!!!!!! Tourist Board does something? Hahahhahaha! God, I needed that joke!
Biggest set of know nothing failures in Government, and that’s quite an achievement! Quit wasting our time with worthless propaganda.
Now seriously.
is this the plan that was top secret, and we dont want others to steal.
all, i can do is shake my head.
There are lots of islands all around the BVI with people who own private yachts in USVI, PR, DR, St. Martin, etc. When will the BVI government let those yachts into the BVI at a reasonable cost for a vacation? The current $2-3000 entry process for private yachts is ridiculous.
This the statutory board with the ghost director of tourism? We don’t want to hear from you through press release quotes make yourself be seen and heard and tell us what’s going on we wonder if you really exists. Who cares about staycation???
You mean all the dilapidated and overgrown ruins, historical sites, and even cemeteries? BVIslanders couldn’t care less about their history unless of course it comes to getting free money. And really how small minded of the tourism board to focus on neighboring islands. 330 million people in the US just clamoring for a vacation.
NO CREATIVITY NO IMAGINATION NO EXCITMENT SOUNDS AS DRY AND CLUELESS AS THE CHAIRMAN AND DIRECTOR BEHAVES AND MOVES ABOUT!!
That is branding for a destination positioned as luxury? Terrible and tacky !
