Tragedy | Infant found dead in vehicle
An infant was pronounced dead on Monday (April 30) after being left in a vehicle by itself.
Reports are that a close male relative of the baby visited the Ritter Building on Wickham’s Cay II to run an errand.
It is said the family member left the infant in the vehicle but when he returned, the child was unresponsive.
Police told BVI News that the infant was taken to Peebles Hospital where she was declared dead.
The baby is said to be just a few months old.

This is so sad
Rest in peace to that poor Baby Girl. We as a territory need to bear up both parents in such trying times, messon. This one make me wake up and just hug and kiss my seeds until I start to bawl. May God be with them all.
May the parents of this little angel find solace in comforting each other through this perilous time of loss and may the community be more understanding before enacting blame towards them. RIP angel.

It is a very tragic mistake that can happen when we are so busy with work that we don’t get time to think about other people. We should do like the French and close workplaces during lunchtime and all eat out. I pray for this family that their life could be put back together so they could find love and happiness again. Rest in peace babygirl.

My deepest condolences to this family. No one is perfect and this could have happened to any tired parent. I pray that they’ll get the support they need to recover from this tragic accident, especially her father.
