Twins and teen on gun charge granted bail!

Twin brothers Kaheem and Kadeem Callwood and USVI native, Jerry Smith.

Twin brothers Kaheem and Kadeem Callwood, both 22, have been offered bail after being among four individuals charged in connection with a police search operation that uncovered two firearms and multiple rounds of ammunition.

The other two are Jerry Smith, 22, of the US Virgin Islands and a 17-year-old male of Cane Garden Bay, whose name is being withheld because he is a minor All four individuals have been charged with keeping a firearm without a licence and unlawful possession of explosives.

“Additionally, Jerry Smith has been charged with Overstaying his landing permit,” the police said, adding that Smith has been remanded.

According to reports, one of the brothers was found in possession of a High Point C9 semi-automatic pistol and 20 rounds of ammunition, while the other had a Glock 19 pistol and 20 rounds of 9mm ammunition. The weapons were recovered during an intelligence-led operation in Cane Garden Bay.

Kaheem and Kadeem were each granted $60,000 bail but due to the absence of a surety on their behalf, they have been remanded to His Majesty’s Prison. The 17-year-old was also granted $50,000 bail. They were represented by attorney E. Leroy Jones, except for Jerry Smith.

The arrests are reportedly linked to escalating gang activity in the area. Police have noted a 12 percent rise in crime in 2024, largely driven by organised gang-related incidents, including burglaries and robberies. While authorities have made significant arrests to curb these activities, Cane Garden Bay has experienced an uptick in criminal cases early this year.

  4. Fairness not fearness says:

Injustice any where is injustice everywhere. Are we not saying, it’s okay for locals to perpetrate the offences charged and outsiders will be made to feel guilty before trial? Please send the right message, that’s we’ll not tolerate gun and ammunition crimes in this territory.

The Callwood Clowns: Guns, Gangs & Dumb Decisions

Kaheem and Kadeem, two fools on the loose,
Thought they were gangsters, but ain’t got a clue.
Rolling with heat, strapped up real tight,
Till cops showed up and dimmed their light.

One had a Glock, the other a Hi-Point,
Flexing with ammo like it proved a point.
But brains? They left that at home,
Now they’re out here, begging for loans.

Busted in Cane Garden Bay on a tip,
Now they’re in court, trying to flip.
Sixty grand bail? What a sweet deal,
For twins too dumb to keep things concealed.

Their boy Jerry? Well, he’s stuck in a jam,
    Overstayed his welcome—deported on spam.
The kid in the mix? Too young for the pen,
But still dumb enough to run with these men.

Crime is up, gangs on the rise,
But these two clowns ain’t that wise.
They thought they were bosses, real hardcore—
Now they’re just JIZZ for the courtroom floor.
