Two children released from hospital after accidents
Two children were treated and released from Peebles Hospital after being involved in separate motor vehicle accidents on Tortola over the past few days.
They were both pedestrians at the time of the incidents, BVI News Online has confirmed.
In one case, a mother left her two children near the playground in Long Bush, and went to a supermarket in the area.
It is said that the four-year-old boy was crossing the roadway to meet his sister when he was struck.
His mother, who was in the area, took him to Peebles Hospital where he was treated and released.
Police have questioned the female driver, but she has not been charged.
In the other incident, a woman was driving her motor vehicle in the Duff’s Bottom area last Friday when she heard a sound and realized that a male child had been struck.
The child was riding a peddle bike.
The driver stopped and assisted him. He was taken to Peebles Hospital.
