Two BVIslanders are among four men charged by the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) for Sunday night’s major cocaine drug bust on the sister island of Virgin Gorda.
The RVIPF identified those two locals as 25-year old Nickel Simon and 36-year old Cryton Browne.
The two are jointly charged with possession of a controlled drug with intent to supply, engagement in smuggling a controlled drug, and human trafficking.
The other two males charged in connection with the bust were revealed to be Venezuelan nationals. They are 40-year-old WIlteredo Lopez Vargas and 47-year-old Hover Morillo Ybarbia.
Those two have been jointly charged with possession of a controlled drug with intent to supply, engagement in smuggling a controlled drug, and illegal entry.
All four individuals will remain in police custody until their appearance in Magistrate’s Court.
This is the second major drug bust on Virgin Gorda in less than two weeks. On October 17, the RVIPF seized a large quantity of cocaine on the sister island during a separate incident.
