Visitor flees after being denied entry into BVI

Reports indicate that a male visitor from Honduras fled the arrivals section of Terrance B Lettsome International Airport after being denied entry into the territory on Friday, October 11.

According to sources, Customs personnel notified the police following the incident. The individual arrived on an InterCaribbean flight, but the specific reason for his denied entry remains unclear at this time.

Authorities are actively searching for the man, who was last seen heading toward Trellis Bay.

Where is his photo. That should have been bill boarded in Road Town, shared with every taxi stand and sharing around on cell phones. Why are our borders so weak?

No picture because Immigration forgot to turn on the cameras this morning.
I guess he had some business to deal with before he leaves.
The word on the street is that most persons believe the DPP cannot successful prosecute a murder even with a video and a confession – so he will be happy to go about his business.

  5. Wait.... says:

This happened nearly a week ago and it’s only making news now?

Really shows the initiative to get this sort of thing fixed…or else government was just hoping he’d have been picked up by now and no one would be the wiser…too late.

  6. So this incident occurred on Friday, October 11. says:

Today is October 17, 6 days after the incident. Why is it that we are now hearing about this? My goodness.

Now, he was reportedly “last seen heading toward Trellis Bay’, and authorities are still actively looking for him.

Well, one can reasonable assume he is long gone…horse out of the barn gone. Maybe he is St. Thomas. Who knows? 6 days is a significant long leeway.

We don’t know when law enforcement began searching for him, but at this time, it is reasonable to assume he is nowhere in the Trellis Bay area anymore.

That being the assumption, someone had to have given him a ride away from the airport. He has to sleep, eat, and shower somewhere.

Who helped or is helping him?

lol wtf BVI not a real place. A man just make a run for it at the airport after being denied entry and get away just like that and you now reporting this a whole week later and still with no picture or name. So all you need to beat our airport security is a working pair of legs basically.

  11. IS THIS REALLY TRUE says:

EVERY AIRPORT NORMALLY HAS POLICE THERE ON DUTY , HE MUST OF HAD IN TURBO CHARGERS , THAT SOUND SO HILARIOUS , THAT I WOULD OF LOVE TO WITNESS THAT , HE MUST OF TOOK OFF SO FAST THAT THE CAMERAS ONLY SEE THE LAST SPOT WHERE HE WAS LAST , EVERYBODY BLINKED AND ALL THE SEE WAS HIS SHADOW

  12. ... says:

That is how they move. Police want info from us and never give us info to help protect our community.

It is not only the BVI police role is too entitled & separate. When that rapist was running around st.thomas it was atleast 5 woman down before they told the public to watch out.

  13. Time and Twine says:

These BVI are a real threat to the US and the world. The borders are lightly patrolled and immigrants from all walks of life and illegal drugs, human trafficking from lands far and near, make their trek to the USA,Europe,Middle East with rare interception and only when the USA border patrols are the interceptors.l am hoping that with the election of Donald Trump, these VI will be sealed off from entrance to the USVI. The apocalypse is a given with the cooperation and assist from these VI. A Satanic entity, these VI and extremely bold and cold with their eventual demise as they self destruct.

First let me acknowledge that we do have a problem in our country like so many Caribbean islands with illicit drugs and human trafficking.

This problem is complex. The drug cartels have and are taking advantage of our porous border and willingly corrupt individuals are facilitating the flow of drugs and human beings for a profit. It’s a dangerous network of criminality.

As we all know this criminality ensnarled our former Premier who now sits in Federal Lock up in Florida.

Here is the problem as I see them:

      1. We don’t have the resources in this country to stop every drug that hits or shores or people trafficked.

      2. We got criminal elements within our own boarder who are part of the network of human and drug trafficking.

      3. Our Law Enforcement and Courts cannot seem to rise to the challenge to fight this menace. It’s larger than they have the capacity to handle.

Thus you would note there is increased cooperation between the BVI and USVI/DEA boarder patrol. That seems to be working as several people involved in those trades have had their operations interrupted, arrested, and imprisoned (on the US side).

This must continue in a sustained manner to keep the drugs and human smuggling to a minimum. There will always be someone who would try until they get caught.

As for Donald Trump winning and sealing off the BVI, that’s not going to happen. First, come November 5, in my judgement Donald Trump will NOT be elected President of the U.S.

Whomever the president of the US is, sealing off the BVI will never be considered a viable or serious option. What they are doing now having a cooperating arrangement with the BVI is far more effective and practical.

Your response details reasons why the BVI as a favor to WorkwidexSecurity, the should be sealed off from direct access to the USV. You cited the reason as not having the resource. We are fully aware the resource has been refused by the BVI. These VI are
of no use to world and regional
        safety if as you indicate..are
unable to issue a bulletin with
name and desciption of a runaway.
Noresource to publicly and immediately alert and identify via airwaves and fliers. Yes these VI and their reps mouthpieces, are boldface liars and criminals of the worst kind.A passing bomb might be a better remedy for this place as defence for the safety of many worldwide.

        and describe the culprit…
