Wheatley dies in crash on Tortola

A man identified as Nathaniel Wheatley died when the vehicle he was driving careened off the roadway in Slaney, Tortola, and landed in the sea late Saturday afternoon, February 18.
The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF), which did not identify the deceased or give details of what happened, said: “Police are confirming one fatality – a male – following a vehicle collision this afternoon in the Slaney area. No further information is available at this time.”
Reports from other sources indicate that Wheatley was heading towards Road Town at the time of the crash.
He was taken to Peebles Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Wheatley’s Facebook profile indicate that he is from Tortola but lived in the United Kingdom.
