Wife of former BVI leader dies
Lillian ‘Lily’ Romney, who is a businesswoman and wife of former Chief Minister Cyril Romney, has died.
Her daughter Patricia Romney announced the passing on social networking site Facebook yesterday, September 30, adding that the days ahead will be ‘difficult’ for the bereaved family.
“God sent for his angel. Love you for all times, Momma,” she said.
BVI News Online understands that Mrs Romney, 79, died in the United States where she was undergoing treatment.
Her husband – the former chief minister – passed away in a United States hospital in July 2007 after a long battle with cancer, leaving five daughters behind.
