Winair restores fuel charges
Windward Island Airways (Winair) said it will reintroduce fuel surcharge on all tickets sold for travel, commencing April 10.
“Due to increasing world oil prices, Winair will reintroduce fuel surcharge on all tickets sold for travel commencing April 10, 2017. These fuel charges are US$3.30 or 6.00 NAF per segment,” the airline said.
On March 1 last year, Winair eliminated all fuel surcharges as world oil costs decreased at that time.
“We will continue to monitor world fuel prices and adjust these surcharges accordingly,” added Winair, which is a government-owned regional carrier that was founded in 1961.
