Woman loses consciousness, hospitalised after domestic attack
BVI News understands that a woman who resides in the Diamond Estate community was recently the victim of a life-threatening attack at the hands of her child’s father.
Our news centre understands that the woman presented to the hospital with serious injuries and refused to tell medical personnel how she sustained them. After admitting the victim for further care, the medical personnel alerted the police. However, it’s understood that the cops had the same problem extracting information from the victim who insisted she didn’t want her attacker to get in trouble.
It’s alleged that the victim and the attacker ended their relationship some two years prior and were cultivating a co-parenting relationship.
On the day of the incident, the attacker allegedly saw the victim at a location with another man and called her phone shortly after. He reportedly asked her to meet at his house to discuss an important matter.
Our sources say once the victim arrived at the attacker’s home, he repeatedly begged her to rekindle their relationship. When she refused he brandished a ring and asked her to marry him.
She again refused and this reportedly caused her attacker to get angry. The two got into a physical tussle where the victim was flung into a wall causing her to hit her head and lose consciousness for some hours.
Sources told BVI News that she awoke in a pool of blood and several apologies from her ex-partner.
Once she left his home, she was reportedly taken to the D. Orlando Smith Hospital where her injuries were examined and specialist doctors summoned for further treatment.
It’s unclear whether she had to undergo surgery and whether the suspect used weapons during the attack.
But the victim reportedly begged the authorities not to jail the suspect for the sake of their daughter.
In the meantime, our news centre was not able to ascertain whether the attacker was accosted and charged in connection with the incident.

She maybe thinking about the relationship bond for her daughter’s sake, or the financial assistance she will lose from his imprisonment. God forbid that same head injury doesn’t cause serious medical complications in the future. Lady, you could have died! Quite possibly then your child would have been without both parents…just think on that.

It appears she had good reason to reject rekindling a relationship with this guy. Look what he allegedly did.
It sounds like he got jealous seeing her talking to another man, got into his feelings and hurt her when she allegedly refused his hand in marriage.
It’s a definite NO at this point. Some people cannot deal with rejection. They turn violent. If they can’t have you, they will hurt or kill you.
I said some people because women behave this way as well.
One of the biggest mistakes women who find themselves in these situation is not cooperating with law enforcement when they should be.
They should be getting protective orders from the court, and in this case seeking sole custody of the minor child with supervised visitation right by the the other parent.
This is not a joke. I understand one can get mixed emotions in these kinds of situations and they wish it will go away, but it doesn’t. It gets worse. One time is enough. He is showing her who he is; she better believe him and act accordingly.
Once a man puts their hands on you, he will do it again. In my view, this woman needs to start thinking about her life and her child, and stick to her plan to not re-enter a relationship with him. She may not survive his next violent attack.
I cannot stand a man who hits a woman. They wouldn’t try that on another man because they know they will get their behinds kicked.

Moreover, problems of existential and relational issues should be brought to a place of learning, and that attendance in such a school should be mandatory for offenders.
It would cut down if not eliminate the often undeserving brutality and deaths of too many women. Most homes do not teach their boy child anger management,emotional control, empathy or. respect for the female.
If love no longer lives in the house, walk away, bear the pain and find another love.

Why is this news? This man slammed her into a wall causing her to lose consciousness. She doesn’t love herself so what her man did to her is ok. She does not want him punished. So who is sorry for her? I am not. Stupid woman.

What is being reported here in my view is a crime that probably resulted in possible brain injury.
Health wise, this young woman may not be out of the woods. The fact that she was reportedly unconscious for a few hours and woke up in a pool of blood suggest she may have suffered a significant head injury the full extent of which would only become clearer in time.
Battered women quite often fail to report abuse because of fear of retribution. Not to mention there is child in the mix as well.
This young woman needs some understanding and time to process what happened, get some counselling so get clarity moving forward. Do not judge her. Her reported behavior is not uncommon.
Young lady yoi are very lucky to be alive and hopefully have no lo by lasting effects. I urge you to wake up and open your eyes. Report him to the police. God will take care of you and your daughter.
