Dancing in the rain – Top acts switched to night 2

Jamaican acts Dean Fraser and Alaine who were slated to headline the first major night of the Jazz and Style Festival did not show up, but patrons did not miss the opportunity to soak up the other rich musical offerings on what was a wet night at Tortola Pier Park.

Paul ‘Gadeithz’ Peart who emceed the event last night told eager patrons that both Fraser and Alaine could not attend because of a flight delay.

However, attendees were not left disappointed for long as they were told that the two acts will perform alongside tonight’s line up of artistes such as Morgan Heritage and the HLSCC Stingray Singers.

Patrons who attended last night’s show will not have to pay an entry fee tonight if they have the entry bands they used last night.

In the meantime, while attendees got a taste of the sweet, sultry, and jazzy sounds of saxophonist Jeremy Vanterpool during the show, it was the infectious Soca music that had them really dancing.

In fact, some used the sporadic rainfall as an opportunity to kick off their footwear and some other items of clothing to dance among the raindrops.

Last night saw performers such as Edwin Charles and Kerlene ‘Kerlz’ Joseph; as well as Farmer Nappy, Olatunji and the A-Team band. They kept patrons well entertained up to 1am when the show ended.
