Soap opera actress to star at Summer Sizzle

Eva Marcille, formerly known as Eva Pigford, winner of America’s Next Top Model Cycle 3, will host the 9th Annual Summer Sizzle BVI fashion extravaganza in the British Virgin Islands from July 20 – 23.

The actress, TV host, and fashion model is best known for her role as Tyra Hamilton on the soap opera The Young and the Restless. She was nominated for two NAACP Image Awards in 2009 for Outstanding Actress in a daytime drama series.

Marcille also guest-starred on several series on UPN and The CW Network including Kevin Hill, Smallville, Everybody Hates Chris, and The Game.

She has appeared on the cover of numerous magazines. Marcille’s modeling credits also include CoverGirl, DKNY, Samsung, Elle, Elle Girl, Rolling Out, Red by Marc Ecko, Jewel magazine, In Touch Weekly magazine, and Star Magazine.

“I’m super excited to be attending and hosting such a fabulous event in the British Virgin Islands!” Marcille said.

The founder and chief executive officer of Summer Sizzle BVI, Terry Donovan, commented: “We are excited to have Eva serve as the host of this year’s event. Eva is a talented and shining star, and will bring a lot of pizzazz to the event.”

Summer Sizzle BVI is in its ninth year of production, and will feature activities from July 20 through to July 23.

The event this year will feature performances from Jessica Jarrell – a R&B/Pop artiste who will perform her single ‘How was I’. There will also be two distinct fashion shows – BVI Swim Runway Show on July 21, and Global Glamour Runway Show on July 22 at the Multi-Purpose Complex on Tortola.

Tickets for all events, including parties, are available online and at various outlets in the British Virgin Islands. Those outlets include Hazem Beauty, UMI, Bolo’s, Island Roots, Bob’s Gas, Sensus Health Club, JBY, Body Glam on Tortola, Speedy’s on Virgin Gorda, as well as Native Son and Urban Threadz on St Thomas in the US Virgin Islands.
