18-year-old charged with two VG burglaries

The Virgin Gorda Police Station

BVI News understands that an 18-year-old male from Virgin Gorda was recently arrested and charged after being linked to two burglaries on that island.

The two business establishments that were burglarised are reportedly close to each other. However, it is unclear whether they are operated by the same owner.

Reports are that one businessman returned to his establishment on a particular morning but found that his door was unlocked. When he went inside, he noticed that cash was missing. The other rooms in the place of business reportedly showed signs of forced entry.

It is unclear whether other items were stolen along with the cash but highly placed sources say the cameras on the property showed the 18-year-old illegally entering the building after hours.

BVI News understands that cameras also recorded the young man when he illegally entered the second establishment. However, it is unclear what items were taken from that business.

Because of the cameras, the police were able to quickly identify the young man once the matters were reported. The teen was arrested and charged for buglarising the businesses. It is not clear whether he was offered bail and when he will appear in court to answer the charges laid against him.

  2. Stigmatization Never Heals. says:

People are stigmatized, ostracized and persecuted for a lifetime because they suffer from an affliction referred to as addiction.

The issue is society is programmed to react to a given behavior relative to a repetitive use of a particular substance and or activity, without the requisite education surrounding the triggering of the behavior or activity. The afflicted, in the case of drugs/crack, is usually referred to by the uneducated as an addict. Truth is, it could be anything or drug.

It is not the drug it is the genetic predisposition to engage in a repetitive behavior that could be deemed destructive, and to some immoral. But the cause is not the drug, but the Genes.

It could have been alcohol. Would he then be called a AH? Could have been food. Would you denigrate him in public as a FH? Could have been a gambler. Would you stigmatize him as a GH. Do you stigmatize those sex issues as SH. Do you stigmatize those who are addicted to minding other people business and chronic gossipers as BH? None of those human conditions are stigmatize in society. But crack is. Why?

See the substance could have been anything, weed, grass, food, gambling, work, sexing, etc… Crack just happens to be the chemical of choice his body prefers. All of the above-mentioned are mind-altering substances or activities. All of which triggers a feel good drug in the brain that makes human feel good momentarily. So see, it could be any drug or activity that the body likes.

Society, has been brainwashing the sheep, they set them upon the world to execute those narratives.

The truths are, addition is disease. In fact, in the medical and scientific literature and journals of decades of research, it is clearly proven that affliction to an OCPD, Obsessive, Compulsive, and Progressive Disorder.

IT IS A DISEASE THAT IS GENERAED BY AN INDIVIDUAL GENETIC PREDISPOSITION TO ADDITION. Hence, it is not the drug (crack) but the genetic predisposition that creates the activates the compulsion triggering the repetitive compulsive behaviors(s).

It is not a life style that any person who became afflicted set out to live or set out to become. No none sets out to make themself sick, a victim or an object of ridicule, oppression and disgrace ostracization or stigmatization. No one.

It is a disease that is generated by an individual genetic predisposition to addiction.
No one, including your dear brother would never dear chose becoming an addict, enduring the pain and the suffering and stigmatization we and they are subjected to.

No none sets out to make themself sick, a victim or an object of ridicule, oppression and disgrace, no one, definitely not your brother. Life is just what it is.

Some times one engages in a momentary fun activity, such as having a mind altering moment, a night of frolic with friends or a nice lady. And, while one expects it all to be clean, wake up and go on with one’s life, one soon realizes that one has triggered something within one’s genetic make up that will present horrific challenges for life.

Never is it one who chose a drug, rum, gambling or other using life style. It is but the triggering of the compulsive reality of the genetic predisposition.. Hence, the stigmatization should be replaced with knowledge, education and compassion. Stigmatization never heals only sickens more.

Why are we,repeatedly, denied to know the identity of some who has committed crimes in these BVi.
Certainly this thief more than likely has committed his crime against others in the territory and was never caught nor arrested. Most likely be abuse his victims were unable to identify him by name. Sooo a photo ,his booking photo would be helpful to past present and future victims right ?
Another prime example of the BVI aiding selected perpetrators of crime.
