2 gunmen struggle to shoot down gas station door

A video has emerged showing an alleged robbery attempt this morning at Delta Gas Station in Pasea Estate, Tortola.

The recording shows two men with their faces covered trying to enter the business establishment at roughly 2am.

One of the men held what appeared to be a gun and pointed it at the glass door located at the front of the establishment. However, no shot emerged from the weapon.

The other would-be robber then took the gun from his accomplice, and tried to shoot up the glass door. He too was unsuccessful in discharging the firearm

While the two men apparently tried to devise another strategy, a black car emerged on the nearby roadway.

The culprits, in an attempt to hide, pussyfooted away from the direction of the vehicle.

When the car passed the Delta Gas Station, the two would-be robbers again tried frantically to fire shots at the glass door. Again, the gun apparently jammed.

When the duo realized that the gun was not working, they hurried away from the scene and sprinted across the roadway.

The robbery attempt overnight bring back memories of another incident at the gas station around 3am on December 15, 2016. On that occasion, two masked gunmen shattered the gas station glass door with bullets, entered the establishment, and then escaped with an undisclosed amount of money. No one was charged in relation to the previous incident.
