Rotary Int’l donates $100K worth of equipment to Peebles

International service organisation, Rotary, has donated $100,000 worth of medical equipment to Peebles Hospital.

The club made the donation last Friday during Rotary International President, Barry Rassin’s visit to the territory.

Rassin is the first international president of the service organisation to have ever visited the territory.

During his time in the territory, Rassin met with local officials such as Governor Augustus Jaspert, Premier Dr D Orlando Smith, and other legislators.

The charismatic Rassin even sat with members of local media and sang praises of the local Rotary clubs who he said have performed exceptionally, especially after the 2017 disaters.

His visit concluded with a Foundation Dinner at The Moorings on Tortola. The dinner has been described as the ‘event of the year’.
