Adaejah Hodge now the 5th fastest woman of all time!
British Virgin Islands sprint sensation Adaejah Hodge is now the fifth-fastest woman of all time after a stunning performance at the NCAA Outdoor Championships.
Hodge clocked a blistering, wind-legal 10.63 seconds at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon, delivering one of the most remarkable runs in collegiate history.
The University of Georgia freshman produced the time in Heat 1 of the women’s 100m, securing a massive personal best and setting a new mark as the fastest collegiate women’s 100m ever recorded.
All eyes will now be on the British Virgin Islander as she advances to the semi-finals and finals of the event.
Hodge’s 10.63 places her behind only four women on the all-time list: Florence Griffith-Joyner (USA) with the world record of 10.49 seconds, Elaine Thompson-Herah (Jamaica) at 10.54, Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce (Jamaica) at 10.60, and Melissa Jefferson-Wooden (USA) at 10.61.
