Anguilla, Barbados added to EU blacklist as BVI enjoys months of being struck off

The European Union (EU) has added Anguilla and Barbados to its blacklist of tax havens.

Countries on the EU blacklist of tax havens are deemed non-co-operative jurisdictions that are not compliant with good-governance standards.

Countries on the blacklist face damage to their reputation, higher scrutiny in their financial transactions, and risk losing EU funds.

As Anguilla and Barbados have been added to the list, the Cayman Islands joins the BVI in being removed from the blacklist.

There are now 12 countries on the EU’s list — The US Virgin Islands, American Samoa, Anguilla, Barbados, Fiji, Guam, Palau, Panama, Samoa, Seychelles, Trinidad & Tobago, and Vanuatu.

The EU blacklist of tax havens was set up in 2017 to clamp down on tax evasion and avoidance schemes in member states. The blacklist does not screen EU countries.

In February 2020, EU upgraded the British Virgin Islands to whitelist status, which signals the country as a fully cooperative tax jurisdiction that is observing all of the tax good-governance standards.

So you telling me that the EU Black List does not screen EU Countries so they can engage in being a Tax Haven and the EU put it and remain on their white list? The height of BS. You see why these countries need to build their cash reserves and depend less on these people for anything. They speak with two tongues.

BlackList, What do they mean by BLACK, black seem to be the measure for all Things evil. crazy part is many BLACKPEOPLE will fight for the acceptance of this madness. How about we call it PALE LIST, Pale work just as effectively. PALE void of colour, which mean empty, empty meaning soulless, soulless meaning wicked evil you can play with this in any way you like, but BLACK people should never use the word black in such a negative way.

Its saying since we was so foolish managing our resources so we are now blacklist which means we dont have to deal with strict taxes like the whitelist countries..so they wont impose taxes but our reputation in the world.. other countries will find it skeptical to do business with us because of our bad managing of funds..only thing i cud see as a result is more drug runners
