Following Hurricane Dorian, the government’s Central Administration Complex located in Road Town on Tortola will remain closed today.

This was revealed via a media release issued by Deputy Governor David Archer, Jr on Thursday morning.

“Based on the initial assessment of the Central Administration Complex, a decision made to close all offices that occupy this facility for today Thursday, August 29,” the release stated.

The release did not specify what were the results of their assessment or what specifically caused for operations in the building to be completely put on hold.

The release, however, said all other government offices that operate outside of the complex resumed operations at 10 am.

No date or time was given for the resumption of services within the complex.

Government has promised to announce further details in the near future.

Admin building has been a problem since it was built. You have to wonder about original design, and, certainly not much evidence of any effective operations and maintenance plan. Another classic and colossal waste of tax payer money brought to you by elected Belongers.
