Residents on Anegada will have a direct opportunity to be serviced by the National Bank of the Virgin Islands (NBVI) as a team from that institution will travel to the island to meet customers and engage the community on Monday, February 20.
The visit will be the first in the bank’s community engagement programme on the Sister Islands.
The financial institution said the programme that is dubbed ‘Paradise’ seeks to directly reach customers “to understand and provide services needed in the territory’s evolving economy”.
With that in mind, the bank added that it is keen to understand what ‘paradise’ means to its customers, and to provide financial services and products to help them attain their version of paradise.
Chief Executive Officer at NBVI Joy Francis will lead her team – drawn from all departments – on the visit to Anegada.
“Residents will have the opportunity to open new accounts, query current accounts, and learn about new services and products. The team will also be visiting the Claudia Creque Learning Centre with a surprise for its youngest students,” said the bank.
It added: “NBVI representatives will also speak to senior students about the importance of sound financial management and developing a culture of saving for their future. Anegada residents interested in receiving services while bank representatives are on the island may do so by visiting the Anegada Public Library between 10am and 1pm. Between 3pm and 5pm, representatives will be visiting clients with whom the bank has worked on larger projects.”
NBVI will, in March and April, continue its Paradise community engagement programme with visits to Jost Van Dyke and Virgin Gorda respectively, before seeking to engage residents of Tortola.
