FirstBank is encouraging its customers to use its Business Center in Road Town because it was forced to close the branch in the said town due to flooding.
The financial institution has been closed for a second consecutive day, but it hopes to reopen for regular business tomorrow, April 27.
“FirstBank wishes to inform the general public of special branch hours at the Road Town Business Center for today, April 26, 2017.”
“Due to unforeseen circumstances, the FirstBank Road Town branch will remain closed today. Clients are asked to utilize the Road Town Business Center for lobby services. For your convenience, the Road Town Business Center will observe extended hours until 5pm today,” FirstBank explained.
It added, “All ATMs and the night depository will remain fully operational, and clients are reminded that accounts are accessible 24/7 via Online Banking and Mobile Banking.”
FirstBank said it apologizes for any inconvenience, adding that it appreciates its customer’s understanding and patience.
Shedding more light on the issue of flooding, the financial institution told the press: “On entering our facility [yesterday morning] we discovered that several areas of the first floor had flooded overnight. After our initial assessment, and for the safety of our clients and employees, we closed our Road Town branch and our Business Center. Signs were posted externally to alert clients that we were closed temporarily.”
