Bougainvillea opening urgent care service on February 15

PRESS RELEASE – Bougainvillea Clinic, a private hospital located on Russell Hill in Road Town, would like to inform the public that as of February 15 it will be offering a walk-in service for routine and urgent healthcare needs.

The Urgent Care Service at Bougainvillea Clinic will be available for 7am to 11pm daily, including weekends and holidays, with a general practitioner and supporting healthcare staff in attendance during those hours.

In addition, the Urgent Care facility will offer appropriate laboratory blood test, ECG, X-ray, Ultrasound and CT scanning services – to take care of urgent and minor medical emergencies.

Medical and Surgical Specialists will be available for call out in the fields of Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Anesthesia, General Surgery, Orthopaedics and Fractures, Ear Nose and Throat Surgery, Gynaecology , as well as Radiology.

When necessary, patients may be admitted to our hospital for further management by our very experienced compliment of medical and surgical specialist, nurses, and other healthcare personnel.

Bougainvillea Clinic is fully licensed as a General Hospital by the Government of the Virgin Islands.

It runs two well equipped operating theatres, which will soon be replaced by a state-of-the-art operating suite with two brand new operating theatres.

The hospital also has a state-of-the-art Imaging Department with all digital X-ray, CT scanning, MRI and Ultrasound equipment.

In addition, the clinic houses 10 inpatient beds to cater for the sicker patients and those who have undergone major surgery.

The Management of the Bougainvillea Clinic would like to remind the public that it is a private clinic/hospital.

Services have to be paid for at the time of receiving them. NHI cards are accepted and, while the card will cover most of the expenses, there is likely to be a significant part of the cost that is not covered by NHI.

Costs not covered may be covered by supplemental insurance or out of pocket.
