Woman struck down by vehicle

A female pedestrian was struck down by a motor vehicle this morning while she used the roadway in the vicinity of the Flow flagship store in Road Town, Tortola.
Residents said the victim is a senior citizen and the vehicle involved is a pick-up truck.
The woman has been taken to Peebles Hospital.
A number of pedestrians have suffered similar fate while using that section of the roadway in the territory’s capital.
Nearly six months ago, another woman was taken to hospital after she too was hit by a vehicle in the area.
