BVI earns top rankings in international travel awards
The BVI has earned top rankings in both the United States and United Kingdom editions of the prestigious 2026 Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards, an annual survey in which travellers rate their favourite destinations.
The BVI ranked third among Caribbean and Atlantic islands in the United States edition and 10th in the United Kingdom edition. The recognition places the territory among some of the region’s most desirable destinations, based on ratings submitted by international travellers.
Several luxury resorts in the BVI also received international recognition.
Peter Island Resort ranked 47th among the world’s best resorts and fourth among Caribbean and Atlantic resorts in the US edition. Rosewood Little Dix Bay secured ninth place in the same regional category.
Meanwhile, in the UK edition, Oil Nut Bay ranked eighth, and Rosewood Little Dix Bay placed 13th among the region’s top resorts. Director of Tourism Clive McCoy welcomed the achievements, crediting the collective efforts of the tourism industry.
“These recognitions reflect the continued appeal of the British Virgin Islands and the collective efforts of our tourism industry to deliver exceptional visitor experiences,” McCoy stated. He also congratulated the recognised resorts, noting that the awards highlight the importance of continued investment in the tourism sector.
