BVI Finance hosts business students from French Caribbean

BVI Finance recently welcomed a group of business students and faculty from EGC Business School in Martinique and EGC Business School in Guadeloupe as part of an academic study tour across the Caribbean.

The visiting students, representing the French Caribbean territories of Martinique and Guadeloupe, were given an in-depth introduction to the British Virgin Islands’ financial services sector. During the session, BVI Finance provided a detailed overview of the industry, outlining its structure, global relevance, and the jurisdiction’s ongoing initiatives to remain competitive in the international financial landscape.

The engagement also provided students with an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of how the BVI positions itself as a leading offshore financial centre, while fostering dialogue between future business leaders and industry representatives.

The EGC Business Schools are recognised institutions in the French education system and are closely aligned with regional Chambers of Commerce and Industry. Their programmes are designed to equip students with practical business skills, multilingual proficiency, and international experience through initiatives such as the European Credit Transfer System and global internship placements.

BVI Finance said the visit formed part of its broader efforts to promote education and awareness of the territory’s financial services industry, particularly among regional partners.

The organisation also expressed appreciation for the students’ participation, noting their insightful contributions and presentations during the visit. Faculty and students were further commended for sharing cultural tokens and gifts, which helped strengthen ties between the BVI and the French Caribbean.

How does that guy manage to be working BVI Finance. The BVI is a place where ineffective people are recycled, and competent people don’t get a chance.

That is so true. Saw and lived it in education.
